MHOP Miraculously Untouched amidst Raging Fire Now Stands as an Outpost for Physical & Spiritual Needs
Beginning Tuesday, August 8th wildfires swept through parts of Maui, bringing devastation to several areas and consuming downtown Lahaina.
Miraculously, the Global Presence Maui House of Prayer (MHOP) was untouched by the raging fire! MHOP, which is a dedicated place of God's presence and an altar of worship and prayer, now stands as a beacon of hope in Lahaina, and will serve in disaster relief. See arial view in the first photo of the slideshow.
The star within the yellow circle is where MHOP is located. Also pictured in the album is a propane tank a few feet from the back of the building. Though the hedge directly behind it was burned, the tank did not explode.
MHOP will serve as an outpost for:

https://mauinow.com/category/maui-wildfires/ Maui wildfire disaster updates for Sept. 6: The destructive fire in Lahaina that started four weeks ago on Aug. 8, 2023, was declared 100% contained over the weekend, according to an update issued by the County of Maui. The fire has burned an estimated 2,170 acres. Its path of destruction claimed the lives of at least 115 people, and damaged or destroyed 2,207 structures. Another 385 people remain unaccounted for according to an updated list issued by the FBI on Friday. |
From Children's Equipping at the Global Presence Hub in Texas:
After hearing about the fires in Maui and how God miraculously spared the Maui House of Prayer and our friends there, the children joined together to pray for all the people who still need help. They prayed for the people to know Jesus is there to give them hope and peace. Here is a picture one of the girls drew. It depicts angels around MHOP saying "no" to the fire. Notice the gas tank behind the building that did not explode, even though the hedge directly behind it was burned. Children really do see with eyes of faith so clearly!

Because He's worthy, we worship.
Because there is power in unity, we gather.
Because of His presence, our lives, our families, and our cities are transformed.

One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. |

In that day I will restore the fallen tabernacle of David. I will repair its damaged walls. From the ruins I will rebuild it and restore its former glory. |

I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent. |
